The SMSNA Foundation supports basic science and clinical research, promotes best practices in clinical care, mentors the next generation of sexual medicine professionals, and provides accurate and reliable patient information regarding the treatment of sexual dysfunction.

Projects Supported by the SMSNA Foundation

SMSNA Fellowship Training Program Grant for Women in Prosthetic Urology
The SMSNA Fellowship Training Program Grant for Women in Prosthetic Urology provides institutional funding of up to $70,000 for training of a post-graduate MD who identifies as female and is seeking to develop expertise in the evaluation and surgical management of erectile dysfunction and male stress urinary incontinence.

*This grant is generously funded through an educational grant from Coloplast.

SMSNA Pfizer Research Fellowship in Men's Health
The SMSNA Pfizer Research Fellowship in Men's Health supports a clinical and/or basic research in men’s sexual health and fosters development of expertise in the field of men’s health. The maximum award amount of $25,000 is intended to supplement post-doctoral research activities and conference participation to present those activities.

This SMSNA Research Fellowship in Andrology supports clinical and/or basic research in men's health with a focus on Andrology, and fosters development of expertise in the field of men's health. The funding (up to $25,000) is intended to supplement post-doctoral research activities and conference participation to present those activities.

SMSNA Scholars in Sexuality Research Grants Program
The Sexuality Research Grants Program supports junior investigators conducting research into human sexuality and sexual wellness. It is the intent of this program to attract junior clinicians and researchers to the field of sexual medicine and to support their early studies.

The maximum award amounts are:
$5,000 for Undergraduate/Medical/Graduate School Students
$7,500 for Resident or Post-Doctoral/Fellows
