What inspired you to work in sexual medicine?
At its core, practicing sexual medicine allows me to combine high level reconstructive surgical techniques with the ability to take care of some of our most vulnerable urology patients. My initial inspiration came from Dr. Levine! I worked as his administrative assistant starting at age 18 and realized this career combines my loves of working with my hands, solving problems, doing precision surgery, and taking care of people.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your career?
There are several! First, helping patients regain confidence, intimacy in their relationships and boost their quality of life is hugely rewarding. Second, training fellows, educating residents and inspiring trainees to consider a career in sexual medicine is one of my greatest motivators.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
Both of my parents are artists (mom a painter and professor of art, dad a sculptor and architectural fabricator)! When people ask if I ever "do art," I remind them that surgery is an art! That being said, if I weren't a surgeon, I'd be in pastry arts.

Meet people where they are and bring them with you...
What would your ideal vacation be?
A LONG trip to anywhere I can combine culture, amazing food, adventure, and relaxation.
