What inspired you to work in sexual medicine?
My rotation in Andrology and Infertility with Dr. Lipshultz deeply inspired me to pursue this specialty. I remember as a resident seeing these patients in clinic and realizing what a profound impact we can make in their lives.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your career?
Working with the medical students, residents, and fellows is the most rewarding part of my career. I love to teach and one of my favorite times of the week are our research meetings.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
I am obsessed with tennis. If I was not a Urologist, I would like to have been a professional tennis player.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
The best advice I received was to “stop trying to climb up every tree. Just focus on one tree and climb up as far as you can.” I think when we are all starting our career, we are trying to do everything well, which dilutes our efforts. I think just staying focused on a few key areas has really helped me.
What would your ideal vacation be?
My ideal vacation would be to go with my wife and 3 children to the French Open in Paris and then spending a few days in Nice relaxing on the beach.
